📰GUESS WHAT-optimists are 55% less likely to die from cardiovascular disease than pessimists.
📖Published in the journal Circulation:
🫀Cardiovascular Quality and Outcomes, followed a group of over 5,000 adults aged 45-84 years old. At the beginning of the study, participants were asked to rate their level of optimism on a scale of 0-24, with higher scores indicating greater optimism. Researchers then tracked the participants' health outcomes over the next 15 years, including instances of cardiovascular disease and mortality.(Kim et Al, 8/2019)
👩🔬Results:
➕Optimists had a 55% lower risk of dying from cardiovascular disease, and a 23% lower risk of dying from any cause, than pessimists
💡By cultivating a more positive outlook on life, you could be taking an important step towards better cardiovascular health and a longer, healthier life.
