Hello, positivity posse. Welcome back to The Positivity Pause Podcast. I am so excited that you are able to join me today. Not just because I really enjoy spending time with you, but I am just thrilled that you are taking the time to press the pause button to pour into you. This is The Island of Positivity, where we are pausing to redefine, recharge, reset, before you resume. This has been our self care series where you are pausing and taking the time to pour into you as an act of self-care. Today we are on the E of self-care, enjoyment. Why is self-care important, why is it important to take these pauses, because your mental, emotional, physical health are optimized, when you take the time to practice self-care. As you take this pause to just do what you enjoy, why is that important?

Why is that to pause, to press the button on all of the things that might be negative, that might be discouraging, that might be challenging, that swirl around, and taking a pause to be positive, to experience positive emotions? Because when you take time to do the things that you enjoy, that fill you with joy, whether that is going out with the friends, spending time with the family, going to a movie, listening to music, shopping, dancing, creating, whatever it is that brings you that feeling of joy, fills you with positive emotions make you happy. That burst of positive emotion, that accompanies activities that you enjoy result in increased feelings of well-being, increased and improved performance at work, better relationship, better performance in sports, stronger resilience, reduced stress, and boosts your overall feeling of well-being.

Reduced stress results in improved physical health so I encourage you during this pause to fill it with that, which brings you joy. Reach out right now and embrace that activity that brings you joy. Even if it is for five minutes, throw yourself into it with gay abandon. Let nothing stand in the way the of the fullness and the richness of that explosive expression of the joy, that explosive experience of the joy, that lifting like a helium balloon rising off of the ground, that lift that comes with the positive emotions that accompany the activities that bring you joy. When you take this time, opening your eyes to the joyful experience, that you give yourself permission to have right in this moment. Without a doubt cares and worries fall away. Even if for a short moment, because of the space in your heart and the space in your mind is filled with the renewing refreshing promise of this joyful moment.

When you feel your senses, when you feel your mind, your emotions with this joyful experience, it aligns and it creates healing, refreshing, rejuvenating moments. Just for the short time, all within you and within the universe is aligned for your good. For your best unlimited self to be manifested in that moment. In this moment, take the time, to just do something that you absolutely enjoy. Feel the smile dispersed across your face, the sunshine, lighting up your face, the warmth of this fuzzy feeling, invading every element, every aspect, of your mind buy that off your body. The enjoyment in this positive pause lifts you renews you, energizes you and prepares you to resume with whatever is next on your list of responsibilities. This pause is for you… enjoy.
