Hello, positivity, posse. Welcome back to the positivity pause podcast. I am so excited that you have chosen to spend some time with me, but more importantly, that you have chosen to spend some time pouring into you. You have chosen to press the pause button and allow yourself the joy of redefining recharging, resetting before you resume, and this is so incredibly important for your mental, emotional, and physical health.

This week, we're building on the theme of self love because ultimately love is what makes the world go around. We are built to be in relationship with one another and as we think about pausing for self care, self love is such an important component that it's so important for us to assign some real time to connect, to loving ourselves showering ourselves, because ultimately we cannot give what we don't have. As you take this pause to love on yourself, I'd like to reflect and I'd like for you to reflect in this pause on how do we love on ourselves? How do you love on yourself? The very first aspect of loving on yourself is knowing who you are. 

When you love something or someone and you're asked, why do you love that particular thing? You will have a list of reasons why you love a particular thing or someone and the same is true for yourself. Loving yourself requires that you know who you are. As you take this time for pausing, as you press the pause button on everything else that is competing for your attention, and you turn the focus squarely on you, this is an opportunity for you to connect to the amazing things about you that you love. This is a place of filling up with just the awesomeness of you and bringing it to the fore, not running so fast, not running at such a breakneck pace that you never take the time to recognize just the unique, gifted, brilliant, kind, generous, loving, funny, creative person that you are.

So as you take this pause, I would like you to fixate on one of your most wonderful and beautiful attributes and just close your eyes, inhale all that you are and allow your mind to focus on one of the elements of you and for each pause throughout the day pick another element of you and just focus on playing that over and over and over in your mind, embracing it with this loving and gentle and appreciative emotion that recognizes I am beautiful… I am beautiful. For this pick one aspect for you and just keep repeating that affirmation, because it's not just an affirmation it is the truth. Embed it in your mind, cemented in your heart, surround yourself with the reality of that is who I am. I am beautiful and I love myself in all of my beauty. That is who I am and that is why I love me.

This opportunity for you to redefine how you love yourself by stating those things about you, which you know, to be true and embracing it as who you are. As you love on yourself, you wrap yourself in a well-being, you wrap yourself in health, you wrap yourself in positivity, that then allows you to exude it onto the world. Not even the sky is the limit. Your self-love is unlimited, and I invite you to continue to take your pauses throughout the day to embed and to remind yourself why you love you. God bless.
