Be thankful and believe in gratitude.

Hello, Positivity Posse! Welcome back to The Positivity Pause Podcast. I am so excited that you are here today. Not just because I so appreciate spending this time with you, but I'm really excited that you are taking the time to pause for positivity. So important for our mental, emotional, and physical health to take these pauses during the day to redefine, recharge, reset before we resume.

One of the ways that we can develop a discipline that allows us to approach whatever our situations are from this perspective of, what are the things that add to me rather than what are the things that are taking away from me? That then positions you to be more healthy and to have a sense of wellbeing is guided by these five habits that we have been discussing during this week. The fifth habit of positivity, which is so powerful, is to be thankful and believe gratitude is so incredibly important.

As we pause for positivity and focus on gratitude, the first thing that is achieved is that gratitude and negativity cannot co-exist. So, when we find these pauses and we create these spaces for gratitude, what it means is that we are automatically eliminating the negative emotions that tend to plague us during the day. That gratitude puts us in a position of abundance. It puts us in a perspective of appreciating the fast magnitude of all of the things with which we are surrounded and how those things elevate us. How those things lift us up, how those things empower us, how those things allow us to walk into joy, to hope, to peace, to laughter, to curiosity, to enthusiasm, to love. Gratitude positions, us to connect to these positive emotions and these positive characteristics that are represented in our lives by all of the things that just give us this sense of wellbeing.

"What you believe, what that mindset is, is everything..."

When we are able to focus on gratitude and it brings us intimately into connection of all of these attributes of our positive emotions, it automatically pulls us out of whatever low point we might find ourselves in. With that elevation comes a calming of the spirit, comes a decrease in the stress hormones that will keep us in the fight or flight state. That would keep us in a state of fear, keep us in a space of trepidation. When you come into this place of gratitude, that then gives rise to these positive emotions our entire physiology responds in a way that slows down the impact of the hormones and the other processes that tend to weather and age our bodies, tend to create mental, emotional, and physical stressors. So pausing for gratitude is a key to really having this incredible experience of just all is well.

When you resume whatever it is that you're doing from a perspective of all is well, you have been reset to a place that then allows you to walk into whatever the situation you were in. Not just with a buoyant emotion that communicates to the people around you, that you are such a positive spirit, that they respond to you in a way that makes you feel good, but it also brings you into the space where you can enjoy and extract joy from whatever your situation is. So practicing gratitude as much as you can, and taking those pauses for positivity as you practice your habit of positivity number five, then positions you to believe that all things are possible and brings you right back around the habit of positivity number one, that there was always a solution you would just have to work to find it depends completely on what you believe. What you believe, what that mindset is, is everything as you go through your day in an empowered in positively habit of positivity number five, gratitude, key to everything. God bless you.
