🤎The future is bright🤩 It might be tempting to succumb to negativity and hopelessness when we look at the many challenging issues around us. Thus I think it’s fitting to end this month featuring a member of the next generation who exemplifies the hope for tomorrow🤩

🤎 Yara Sayeh Shahidi's legacy is one of advocacy, representation, and empowerment. She has shown that it is possible to use your platform for good, and that young people can make a real difference in the world.❤❤

🎇It is with great hopefulness and gratitude that I invite you to celebrate Yara Sayeh Shahidi's legacy. 🪷

✅ Yara Shahidi was born on February 10, 2000, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

✅ She is of Iranian, African-American, and Native Choctaw heritage.

✅ Yara is a graduate of Harvard University, where she studied sociology and African-American studies.

✅ She began her acting career at the age of six, appearing in television and print advertisements for companies like McDonald's, Ralph Lauren, and Target.

✅ Yara is best known for her role as Zoey Johnson on the television show "Black-ish" and its spin-off "Grown-ish."

✅ She has also appeared in several films, including "Imagine That" (2009) and "Smallfoot" (2018).

✅ Yara is an advocate for education and social justice. She founded Eighteen x 18, a non-profit organization aimed at encouraging young people to vote in the 2018 United States midterm elections.

✅ In 2019, she launched a production company called 7th Sun Productions, which aims to tell stories from underrepresented communities.

✅ She is a fashion icon and has been featured in several fashion magazines, including Vogue, Elle, and Harper's Bazaar.
