πŸ•ŠBe Anxious for Nothing 🌿

πŸ™πŸΎDo not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Phil 4:6-7

πŸ’•πŸ’™This weekend, while at the Jack and Jill on the Hill Summit, we enjoyed a river boat dinner cruise on the Potomac. It was damp, gray, and 10 degrees colder than is normal for Washington DC at this time of the year. As I looked at the sad gray clouds and murky water, I was reminded that in this world full of emotional, mental, and physical challenges, many of our days may look and feel like this.

πŸ•ŠYET, as I proceeded onto the back deck, we were surrounded by white seagulls that followed and kept pace with the boat. It felt like the birds represented HOPE and REASSURANCE that followed us wherever we went and simply won’t let us get away from them. 

πŸ˜‡That felt like the hand of God, reminding us of His ever presence. There in lies the immense power in finding that knowing peace within ourselves that displaces anxietyπŸ™πŸΎ

🌿 Embrace the Present

⏸ Pause for a moment right now. Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and think of the seagulls and the river boat. Feel the anxiety begin to dissipate. 
BELIEVE that in this moment, you are not alone. Embrace the calm and remember that you have the strength to face whatever comes your way with grace and resilience.
