❤Drs. Dazelle and George Simpson are another inspiring Black Love Story established in excellence and love of each other and their fellow man. Both graduates from Meharry Medical School in 1950, they wed in their final year of medical school and had been married for 70years at the time of Dr. Dazelle’s passing in 2020. They paved the road as many firsts. Dr. Dazelle was the first African American pediatrician be board certified in the state of Florida and to practice in Miami. Dr. George was the first board-certified surgeon in the state of Florida. They opened, and Dr George was the first medical director of the first community health center in Miami.

🤎🖤Their love for each other as well as their love for their fellow man was so inspiring and positioned them to succeed in so many areas of their life. Using their expertise and compassion they made an indelible impact through their passion for service and commitment to improving healthcare. 🩺
