🔍 Evaluating Expectations: The Three Rs 🔍
💭Expectations hold such prominence in our lives and can so often contribute to us feeling inadequate, that I felt moved to unpack them some more. How do we gain perspective around the many expectations that we deal with. ❓
Consider these 3 “R” questions.
❓Are they Real?
How often do we make up stuff in our heads and then stress about expectations that don’t even exist! So check your mind!
❓Are they Reasonable❓
Do the expectations make sense❓Are they within the reasonable realm of you having the ability to meet those expectations❓Can you win an Olympic gold medal in a sport that you have never played😁
❓Are they Reflective of God's Will for your life❓
Finally, ponder if these expectations align with the divine plan for your life. Are they in harmony with your spiritual journey and values❓Does it align with Gods purpose for your life❓ Pray on it🙏🏾
⏸Take a PAUSE to Evaluate your expectations that you have been struggling with through the lens of these Three Rs. Send up a prayer for clarity and feel yourself begin to filter out the unfeasible, honor your boundaries, and move forward in alignment with your authentic and God given path. 🌿💫
